Horsemen

Horsemen is one of the best serial killer movies out there.  It is categorized by Netflix as a serial killer movie, but is more like a psychological thriller.  The main actor is Dennis Quaid, and he plays his role well.  He is an investigator who is working a case about a string of related killings, and starts to unfold a serial killing plot that reflects that of the four horsman from the book of Revelations.  I like the movie for two reasons:  the plot keeps your mind moving, and they don't spare any gore.  This movie is not shy when is comes to blood, guts, and flesh.

Brooklyn's Finest

Great Movie with a lot of heavy hitting actors, including Richard Gere and Wesley Snipes.  The movie shows the life and plot of three different NYC police officers:  one who is undercover and thinking about crossing over to the dark side, one who is crooked and is on the eve of not being a crooked cop, and another cop who does absolutely nothing in the course of his day as a police officer.  The film does a good job of building suspense, and provides and ending that you couldn't have guessed.  Definitely worth the time to watch the movie.

Cherry 2000

A good movie for those of you who still love the 1980's flicks.  This is a movie about a man who is searching for an android wife, Cherry 2000, which can only be found in postapocalyptic Las Vegas.  He decides to make the trip, and hires a tracker to assist him in his trip to this dangerous land (las vegas).  It has a lot of shooting, and gory scenes.  I give it an 8 out of 10.

And one more thing, you have got to see the mustang.  The tracker is driving a '65 mustang with off-road tires.  Super cool.

Steel Dawn

Steel Dawn is a 1980's  postapocalyptic Patrick Swayze movie.  Even though it is a lot like Mad Max with Mel Gibson, it is still a good movie.  Patrick Swayze plays a protector of a deserted land set in a barren landscape after world war III.  I love the fight scenes and some of the manly humor.  It keeps you watching, and a great pick if you are into 80's movies.

It is also a good movie to watch if you like to see the good guy win over the bad guy.  What are they fighting about?  That is even better....they are fighting over the water sources that are left after World War III.  Definitely worth the time.  In some ways it reminds me of Conan the Barbarian.
